Why every diver should aspire to become a Divemaster
Becoming a Divemaster is a dream of many scuba divers. It does sound pretty cool: being a master in diving! But what does a Divemaster
Scuba diving in the Philippines is amazing. Explore it from our PADI 5* CDC Dive Resort!
Liquid Dive Resort is a small boutique resort located on a secluded beach front in Dauin, home to some of the best diving in the Philippines. Established in 2011, Liquid Resort has evolved over the years. We have continuously expanded and improved our facilities, yet the one thing that remains constant is our staff. The heart and soul of Liquid. Our local team will welcome you with Filipino hospitality. You will arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.
The ocean has been our passion since the day we opened our doors. Our PADI 5* CDC dive center has won numerous PADI and PADI AWARE awards and has been a Green Fins member since 2019. Our in-house Institute for Marine Research (IMR), works closely with the local government and our local community to protect our corner of the Coral Triangle. Together we strive to be leaders in sustainable diving and resort practices in the Philippines.
Located only 20 minutes from Dumaguete city, Liquid is well equipped to cater for experienced divers, couples looking for a quiet retreat and families wanting a relaxing beach holiday. Whether you desire to take a course at our PADI 5* CDC dive center, read a book by one of our swimming pools, join a fitness class at our spacious gym, watch the sun rise on the beach front, utilize our co-work space, play a game of billiards, hike to waterfalls or indulge in a relaxing massage you will find the perfect place here at Liquid.
The Philippines lies in the Coral Triangle which is home to over 600 different reef-building coral species, creating one of the most diverse ocean environments on the planet.
Dauin coast has made a name for itself as one of the premier muck diving destinations in Asia. With over 30 different dive sites offering a wide array of critters, this area offers a little bit of everything for all levels of divers, whether you are beginner or professional photographer you will find be amazed by the diversity of the Dauin coast.
Liquid's house reef 'Mainit', is the best drift dive in Dauin, where you can encounter schools of barracuda, turtles, blue spotted rays, morays, healthy coral outcrops and schools of tropical fish. One of its most unique features is the natural hot spring that can be found towards the end of your dive. This unique experience is must dive for all our guests.
Only a short boat ride from Liquid is Apo Island, famous for being one of the first official Marina Protected Areas (MPA) in the country. Apo offers stunning coral reefs, abundant marine life, great walls and turtles on most dives. We recommend you join us on a 3 dive day trip, at least once during your stay
Liquid is an eco-friendly resort with ongoing environmental initiatives, we strive to be environmentally conscious both above and below the waves. For many years we have been a plastic free resort, we conduct dive site and beach clean-ups on a regular basis and our retail outlet only sells locally sourced and produced products.

I did my PADI Open Water and my wife and kids enjoyed the pool and resort facilities. They also joined me for snorkeling while I was diving. My kids enjoyed seeing sea titles in a natural and thriving marine environment.
The staff were very professional and made sure I observed the important training during the PADI course. The dive sites were amazing so I’m glad I picked here to do my course.
Unfortunately the rooms were full when we booked so had to stay in a nearby resort. The rooms do look very nice though.
We ate often at liquid as the food was very good. A selection of international and local dishes, good sized portions (for a European) and very good quality.
We are already planning our next trip to dumaguete and will stay in liquid.
Thanks for the hospitality. More read less

Everything you need from a dive resort, good food, service and fantastic guides. We had heard how good the muck diving was from friends and we were not disappointed. So many little critters everywhere it was a macro photographers wet dream. If you are looking to tick some rare critters off of your bucket list then dive here and especially at Liquid. The resort itself is a little piece of paradise, with a great bar and restaurant.
The surrounding area is typically Filipino and there is good nightlife in the resort or just a trike ride away. read less

I couldn’t have wanted any more from the staff. The dive centre is very professionally run. The bar staff are very efficient and will talk to you for hours (very appreciated when travelling solo) and the good was great! I already miss the place and will be booking a trip back! All in all I can highly recommend. read less

Located in Dauin just 10 minutes from Dumaguete, the resort is at the end of a mostly paved narrow road. Reservation was done over the phone 4-5 days before. Booking confirmation at reception desk was fast and we were escorted to our cottage. With 15 cottages facing the sea in a U-formation, cottages 1, 7, 8 & 15 are the front cottages. Highly recommend you get any of these 4. The room is nicely sized, with a double bed and a rack with hangers. There are no cabinets, no mini refrigerator, no TV. Air conditioning is good, and for good measure, there is a ceiling fan. WiFi is free but spotty. The beach is lined with rocks so no swimming there. There are two pools, one for guests and another deep one (max 12 feet) for diving and scuba lessons There is a bar restaurant for lunch & dinner. Pizza we ordered was very good. But flies were buzzing and trying to steal our pizza. There is free complimentary breakfast (for checked in guests.) Choice of continental, American, healthy (granola) and Filipino. We ordered Filipino breakfast of Cebu pork longganisa, 2 fried eggs, garlic rice, a slice of pineapple. The sliced longganisa was so minuscule I jokingly told the waitress to go back to the kitchen as she forgot the longganisa. Anyway, it was good enough. The cottage area is very quiet a night save for a gecko and insect sounds. There are also plenty of small flying biting insects.
In the bathroom, the Toilet is small and quite low and may be a problem for tall people. Shower has water heater but dispenser for shampoo was almost empty and body wash dispenser was empty. Apparently, these are not regularly checked. Save for a bath towel, there is no face or hand towel.
Though the resort caters to “divers” if one wants a quiet place for rest and relaxation, this resort is recommended

Do you have a scuba bucket list? If yes, the Philippines is probably already on it (if not, it should be!). But have you already
I feel this needs to be bunched together as not all fins require boots. Open heel vs closed heel fins Personally I prefer to have
