We arrived on the 14th to be greeted… read moreWe were scheduled to stay at Liquid Dumaguete 03/14 through 03/21. We arrived on the 14th to be greeted promptly at the airport by our van driver. When we arrived at the resort, the check in was quick and a welcome drink was there for us. The rooms are very well laid out and very clean. The staff was amazing and paid attention to every detail. Tom (the manager) kept us up to date with closures and issued that we may experience due to COVID-19. He met us several times each day to provide updates on airport closings and transportation issues. Tom was working with other resort owners to stay abreast of travel situations. On Tuesday, Tom informed us that the local resorts in cooperation with the Philippine Department of Tourism had arranged for us to go to Cebu via a Coast Guard ship and then eventually travel from Cebu to Manila to transfer home before all airports were closed. Tom was amazing in coordination to make sure all his guests made it to Cebu and eventually Manila. We cannot thank him enough. This resort is amazing. The landscaping and groundskeeping are top notch. Everything is so clean and well kept. The food was absolutely delicious. We went diving with them for two days and the dive crew were knowledgeable and attentive. We met our dive… read moreWe went to Liquid Dumaguete to get our PADI and the entire trip was beyond expectations. We met our dive instructor Russ who is a great guy who takes the lessons either slow or will let you set the pace for the training. We had some great adventures and saw the most beautiful reef and sea turtles. Definitely go to Apo island with Liquid.

The rest of the stay is also perfect. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice and clean. And the kitchen will amaze you. Thanks again to Russel and his girlfriend Rachel two great dive instructors who made sure our trip was unforgettable. read less

Email after email sent to dive centres in the area and within minutes, Tom from Liquid Dumaguete replied. To the point, no B.S answers to my initial questions. Second round of questions in regards to dives, dive locations and the like produced the same standard of: to the point, no B.S answers. Finally the cost: no messing around, to the point, no B.S answers. Not a Peso more was charged to me. I had two days of diving with a Dive Master called 'Ian' but he goes under many other names for some reason. Anyway, Ian as I knew him is a great guy, my type of Dive Master, not pushy, identifies those who need him to assist and lets the others do their own thing but keeps a close eye on both. Ian has eyes like a hawk and uses them to point out the smallest of macro but also understands who is interested in what so tailors his attention accordingly. For an old sea frog like me, Ian could not have been better: there if I need him, there if I don't but discretely and not glued to my fins. All in all my experience with Liquid Dumaguete was first class, good condition gear, good service, great… Before my trip started I, like most do, Googled the dice centres close to where I will be staying and this is how my first class experience started with Liquid Dumaguete.
